Loyd Auerbach is well-known to the public as an expert on Ghosts and Psychic Experience. With a Master's degree in Parapsychology, he is Director of the Office of Paranormal Investigations, a Professor at JFK University, and creator and Instructor of the Certificate Program in Parapsychological Studies at HCH Institute, available both in California and for distance learning. 
        In late 2010, he was appointed as an Adjunct Faculty member of Atlantic University in Virginia Beach, VA, to develop and teach Parapsychology courses.
He is a member of the Rhine Research Center Advisory Board and the Scientific Advisory Boards of both the Forever Family Foundation and the Windbridge Institute.  He was a Consulting Editor and columnist for FATE magazine from 1991-2004.  He is a past President of the Psychic Entertainers Association (and currently on the Board of Directors), and past President of the California Society for Psychical Study. 
Auerbach is the author of eight books on the Paranormal, including A Paranormal Casebook: Ghost Hunting in the New Millennium (Atriad Press, 2005), Hauntings & Poltergeists: A Ghost Hunter’s Guide (Ronin Publishing, 2004) and Ghost Hunting: How to Investigate the Paranormal (Ronin, 2004). 
His latest book, released in April of 2011, is co-authored with psychic Annette Martin, focusing on in-depth looks at specific haunted locations in (and close to) San Francisco.       
        Also in late 2011 is a book he's been working on for some time, which will be taking him in a different direction. Haunted by Chocolate: How to Go from Chocoholic to Chocolate Gourmet is coming in 2011. He graduated from the Professional Chocolatier program through Ecole Chocolat in November 2009 and is now producing and selling specialty chocolates via his website www.hauntedbychocolate.com.
He is a professional mentalist and psychic entertainer, performing as Professor Paranormal – a title that follows him into his more serious work. 
He has appeared in thousands of radio, internet and print interviews, and hundreds of national and local TV shows including The View, Ghost Adventures, Larry King Live, Oprah, Criss Angel: Mindfreak, Sightings, In Search Of, the Today Show, and Unsolved Mysteries, Late Night with David Letterman,  and frequently on A&E, the History Channel, the Travel Channel, the Sci Fi Channel, the Discovery Channel, and The Learning Channel (and many of his cable appearances are in eternal reruns).
